Retired Major General Jovito Palparan is no longer in the active military service. The AFP has no hold on him being a civilian, a press release said.
Meanwhile, the AFP has already facilitated the turnover of the two active personnel, namely Lt. Col. Felipe Anotado, Jr. and Staff Sgt. Osorio, to the authorities for proper disposition.
The report added that the AFP is a professional organization composed of disciplined and law abiding soldiers. It is not the policy of the AFP to coddle and provide safe harbor to any person wanted by law.
It says that they fully trust the justice system and believe in the due process of law. The AFP believes that retired Major Gen. Palparan should turn himself in and answer all allegations hurdled against him. It would be better for him to face the case and take the opportunity of proving that he is not guilty and that he is innocent.
Their unit commanders have disseminated the "lookout bulletin" handed down by Army headquarters; and our soldiers will inform proper authorities if they will spot Gen. Palparan in their duty assignments.
